A huge whale adorns one wall, while fish can be seen just about everywhere.
No, this is not the Shedd Aquarium, but rather the inside of Countryside School in Barrington, which has been decorated in an "Under the Sea" theme this year.
Principal Dennis Pauli said each year the staff spends time before the first day decorating the school in a different theme, with school-wide programs tied into that.
"We do this to try and build a sense of community throughout the whole school," Pauli said.
