Regardless of the ups and downs of the economy, the annual SPI Composites Institute show and conference is the premier forum for introducing new materials for industrial reinforced plastics/composites. At this year's event, held recently in Cincinnati, some of the news highlights included a highly innovative, cost-saving polyester tooling material, a new entrant in vinyl ester suppliers, low-styrene-emitting resins, and several new reinforcements and core materials.
