Sep. 16--LAKELAND, Fla. -- Orange juice has returned to the medicine cabinet.
The Florida Citrus Commission on Wednesday approved $875,000 for production of four new orange juice television ads that focus exclusively on the health benefits of orange juice. The ads will also carry a new marketing theme, "Healthy -- pure and simple."
The commission rejected a $1 million ad campaign proposed by Ben Hill Griffin III of Frostproof, one of the state's largest growers, that would have focused on buying orange juice to help Florida recover from hurricanes Charley and Frances.
