Sep. 29--The committee assessing architectural teams vying to design Kansas City's new downtown arena will be allowed to meet in closed session, a judge ruled Tuesday.
Jackson County Circuit Judge Preston Dean denied The Kansas City Star's request to open the meeting to the public following an hour-long hearing Tuesday.
Later in the day, Dean issued a two-line order denying the request.
Dean did not give a reason for his denial, but said he would issue a more complete order today.
