Haley Davis was so taken with hermit crabs that she got a job at the Hermit Hut, a kiosk at the Gateway Mall that sells the tiny critters and brightly colored shells splashed with superheroes, football team logos and characters from the movie "Shrek."
"Hermit crabs make a really awesome, low-maintenance, friendly, interactive pet," said Davis, a mildly obsessed supporter of this latest pet craze who crawls the Web for information on the quirky crustaceans and belongs to a hermit crab newsgroup on the Web.
