Sep. 30--Local asset management funds remain bullish on the Thai market, even though factors such as soaring energy prices, the bird flu and rising interest rates could affect corporate earnings going into 2005.
Finance Minister Somkid Jatusripitak earlier this month criticised local funds for being net sellers of Thai stocks recently even as foreign investors had been net buyers.
But Dayana Bunnag, president of Kasikorn Asset Management, said that there were a number of factors that could have led local funds to sell off some of their holdings.
