IT IS A FACT LITTLE KNOWN by many students that when citizens step into the voting booth on election day and select the name of the candidate they wish to be president, they are not actually voting for the individual whose name is on the ballot. Rather, they are choosing a set of "electors" assigned to the state in which the voter lives.
