Sep. 30--The annual Golden Days celebration begins Friday with a chalk festival at Slauson Park and ends Oct. 9 with a parade, fiesta, oldies car show and a pancake breakfast.
Golden Days is an Azusa tradition, dating back to 1949. This year's theme is "Surfin' thru Azusa.'
The Civic Grand Marshal for this year's parade is Miles Rosedale, chief executive officers of Monrovia Growers.
