Oct. 2--The clear sparkling water, the rolling hills, the open grasslands and stunning views distinguish the Texas Hill Country as one of the most uniquely beautiful areas of the country.
But Texans have always known this. For decades, the Hill Country has been home to summer camps, dude ranches, music festivals and quaint, historic towns that lure tourists by the droves.
In recent years, the Hill Country has been attracting a new breed of visitors -- out-of-state residents seeking a more permanent address on high-end ranch property, of which there is ample supply these days.
