High school students will join University of Wisconsin-Madison art students to build a chalk mural in the 100 block of State Street next Saturday.
Chalk Fest has, over four years, attracted 100 students from area high schools. On Oct. 9, high schoolers will draw a block-long mural on the street, with each school drawing on a nine-by-nine-foot square.
In doing so, they will confer with UW-Madison art students and talk about what it's like to be an artist.
