Syracuse singer-songwriter-guitarist Greg Pier sure made the most out of his year living in Brooklyn.
Pier took his music to the streets. Well, under the streets, actually. He began playing in subway stations to earn extra cash.
The 10 songs in his new disc, "The Next Valley Over," show that Pier, a former member of Syracuse alternative rock bands The Fiascoes and Flashing Astonishers, discovered how to get right to the gritty point while baring his musical soul to New York City strangers.
