TAMPA, Fla. _ The homecoming finally was over. The ex-Buc returned and made his old team pay.
"I'm very happy," Patrick Hape said.
A dying season has come to this: The Bucs are haunted by a tight end nobody in Tampa remembers except his landlord.
All ye who enter here, abandon all hape.
Consider that a bad pun and a new motto for 2004, emphasis on "0-4." It's a little depressing to start looking to next year when there are three months left in this one. Especially if you have season tickets.
There still was hape at 1-3. Now the season officially has become a salvage operation.
