The selection of the turfgrass species, or the mix of species and the selection of the cultivar or blend of cultivars, to be established is one of the most important decisions that must be made for a new or reestablished turfed site. Strongly influencing the decision are issues such as the use the facility will receive, the environmental conditions of the site, and the level of maintenance that will be practiced.
