Oct. 3--GLENDORA, Calif. -- The City Council has approved a megacenter with a 350-seat stadium at Louie Pompei Memorial-Sports Park, culminating years of wrangling over how to expand the recreational area.
On Tuesday, the Glendora City Council approved $7.34 million to build more baseball and softball diamonds and soccer and football fields, as well as two batting cages, two restrooms, picnic tables, a children's play area, a snack bar and parking for 220 cars at the 18-acre park on Lone Hill Avenue south of the Foothill (210) Freeway.
