The Brazilian government intends to complete by the beginning of 2005 the technical study about the feasibility of launch a Brazilian geostationary satellite but the final decision will be of president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and has no date scheduled. Since 2003 the government studies the possibility of launching its own satellite but the idea lost power when the Union conquered a golden share from StarOne - a company owner of the satellites through which the confidential information of the Brazilian Air Force run.
