Article: Skills Council faces IFA anger over exam trouble.(Independent Financial Adviser)

The inability of the Skills Council, FSA and examining bodies to devise a credible examination system has left IFAs angry.

Since the FSA published Consultation Paper 34 in November 1999, training in the IFA sector has been put on hold as the various competing bodies battle to offer a recognised and suitable qualification for financial advisers.

There have been a wide variety of developments over the past four years, with a variety of CPs, feedback statements, roadmaps and speeches, culminating in this week's announcement.
