Oct. 5--His friends looked at him like he was crazy.
But Sam Cassidy told them he was going to try infusions of hydrogen peroxide from an alternative-medicine doctor, because nothing else was helping his disabling lung condition.
"I wasn't getting any better," said Cassidy, 72. "In fact, I was getting worse."
