BURLINGTON, N.J. -- Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse Corporation (NYSE:BCF) today reported its sales and net loss for the first quarter ended August 28, 2004.
Sales for the three months ended August 28, 2004 were $576.9 million compared with sales of $525.5 million during the corresponding period of a year ago. Comparative store sales for the quarter increased 2.9%. Total sales for the comparative quarter increased 9.8%.
Net loss for the three months ended August 28, 2004 was $18.7 million or $0.42 per share compared with a net loss in the comparative three-month period ended August 30, 2003 of $17.1 million or $0.38 per share. Net loss for the three ...
