SUTHERLIN - Police here are investigating the death of a 14-year-old boy as a homicide.
Troy Anderson's mother came home Thursday to find her son suffering from what police called a severe head injury.
He was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg and died a short time later.
The Douglas County Major Crimes Team is investigating the homicide with help from the Oregon State Police crime lab, which is processing evidence found at the scene.
