Oct. 9--NORFOLK, Neb.--U.S. Bank has permanently closed its branch office at 13th Street and Pasewalk Avenue, where would-be robbers killed five people on Sept. 26.
While there has been talk of creating a memorial at the site, banking company officials would not comment Monday on the site's future.
"We've discussed what's appropriate to do with the site," said Steve Dale, a spokesman at the company's corporate headquarters in Minneapolis.
Meanwhile, police on Monday said they failed to find robbery plans or guns stolen from a Norfolk sporting goods store when they searched the apartment of one of the suspect's girlfriends.
