Major additions, with things for children and seniors, might be coming to downtown Grayslake's Central Park.
Grayslake Park District board members will host a public hearing on the plans at 7 p.m. today at 151 Hawley St. The district has crafted a revised master plan for Central Park.
Under the tentative plan, a new playground, picnic shelters, senior plaza washrooms and walkways would be added to Central Park, southwest of Route 83 and Center Street.
Disc golf, an amphitheater, water-splash playground and fishing pier also would be part of Grayslake's flagship park.
