"I think Washington, D.C., would be the least accessible ... or maybe the most," Emily Peterson said to herself last week.
The 13-year-old was reasoning through which U.S. city had the most ideal climate, population and travelers' amenities to be home to another Walt Disney World.
The question was posed to her and her eighth-grade geography classmates at Valley Middle School in Apple Valley. The answer mattered less than the hard thinking it required.
Her class is part of a new program at Valley in which gifted seventh- and eighth-graders are grouped for core classes such as math and science.
