Aug. 30--Mark Booth, a pharmaceutical marketing executive for 18 years, was named Thursday to head fast-growing Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America Inc., the Lincolnshire-based U.S. subsidiary of Japan's largest drugmaker.
The 43-year-old Booth, who joined Takeda Pharmaceuticals as executive vice president in October, will replace Saburo Hamanaka, who will return to the company's Japan-based parent, Takeda Chemical Industries of Osaka.
In his new role, Booth will head a company that has turned its first drug, the diabetes treatment Actos, into a blockbuster projected to generate more than $1 billion in U.S. sales this ...
