With the Democrats lining up to exploit their perceived split, local Republican leaders united Tuesday behind the candidacy of Sen. Nancy Larraine Hoffmann.
Led by Onondaga County Executive Nicholas Pirro, elected officials from Rome, Oneida and several towns and villages in Hoffmann's 49th Senate District joined her at a "unity" news conference at Wellington House near Fayetteville.
Also speaking for Hoffmann were the chairs of the Republican committees in Onondaga, Madison, Cayuga and Oneida counties - the committees that last spring rejected Hoffmann in favor of Tom Dadey, only to see Hoffmann win back ...
