Andrew M. Cuomo, the former secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, has joined the advisory board of AMCO, a Cleveland appraisal management unit of World Wide Outsource Solutions Ltd.
In a press release Tuesday announcing his appointment, Mr. Cuomo said he hoped to address the industrywide problem of inflated appraisals -- "perhaps the greatest threat to the housing market" -- through his involvement in the company.
