Oct. 7--WILMINGTON, Del. -- Former PeopleSoft CEO Craig Conway took the witness stand Wednesday, defending his aggressive tactics to fight off Oracle, including an effort to vilify Oracle CEO Larry Ellison.
In his first public comments since PeopleSoft's board fired him Thursday night, Conway also said he was "very surprised" at his dismissal, which ousted him from leading PeopleSoft's 16-month battle to ward off Oracle's hostile takeover bid.
Conway spoke in Delaware Chancery Court, where Oracle called him to testify. Oracle is asking the court to throw ...
