ST. LOUIS -- Young adolescent girls in the inner city may have misperceptions of hormonal contraception, worrying especially that the menstrual irregularities it induces may have serious long-term effects on their health and fertility.

And boys fear the same things for girls, even to the point of encouraging their partners to avoid these methods of birth control.
