Article: Third West Nile death reported in New Mexico.

2004 OCT 5 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- A Curry County woman was New Mexico's third West Nile virus fatality this year, the state Department of Health announced September 16, 2004.

The woman, who was 82, died of complications due to West Nile virus encephalitis, the department said.

The agency said 17 other cases also have been confirmed, bringing to 63 the total number of laboratory-confirmed cases in New Mexico this year.
