May 21--PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.--Charlotte County is on the right track with its impact fees and business incentives, the county commissioners heard Monday.
Enterprise Charlotte, a nonprofit advisory group promoting economic diversification and high-wage industries in the county, presented the results of two task forces assembled to study the impact fee and incentives issues.
One recommendation was for commissioners to consider levying impact fees on schools.
"They clarified the things we need to do to make the system more flexible and responsive," said Commissioner Adam Cummings.
