May 8--JENNIFER SECHRIST on Monday joined The Monterey County Herald as chief financial officer, replacing Greg Johnson who left in February to become vice president of finance and CFO for the Fort Wayne News Sentinel in Indiana.
Sechrist most recently was a senior manager at the Palo Alto office of Ernst & Young. She is a certified public accountant and also held accounting and finance positions with Truevision, a Santa Clara digital video manufacturer; The University of Illinois; and McGladrey & Pullen, a national public accounting firm. She started her career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen in St. Louis.
