Oct. 8--When Anamiria Madrigal opened her first cell phone store in Fresno two years ago, she didn't wait for customers to come to her -- she went to them.
Madrigal set up displays at flea markets, cultural festivals and anywhere else she could reach her target audience: Hispanic consumers.
The strategy worked.
The 27-year-old Madrigal owns and operates three stores, including one inside the Wal-Mart in Madera and another in the Super Mercado in downtown Fresno. The company's main store is on Kings Canyon Avenue in Fresno.
