TOKYO, Oct 8 Asia Pulse - A research team from the National Institute of Radiological Sciences has developed an effective way to calculate optimal doses of psychotropic drugs.
Mood-altering drugs work by interacting with brain cell receptors. Simply measuring drug levels in the blood is not sufficient for precision dosing because it does not take into account the fact that a drug may remain active in the brain even after its bloodstream level has tapered off.
