How often should the font cache be deleted? That depends on the amount of text and amount of fonts and font orientations and resolutions generated. Some users may need to delete the font cache once a day, others once a week. That will depend on the kinds of jobs and volume being processed through the RIP.
Another feature of new Adobe Emerald software [see also last month] is the ability to store screen cache on the hard disk. The screen cache is similar in some ways to font cache, but there are many important differences.
