Merlin Entertainments Group has opened its largest Sea Life centre, a new 15m [euro] (10.25m [pounds sterling] development in Oberhausen, Germany, next to Europe's busiest shopping complex.
The 3,000 square metre attraction features 40 display tanks, housing more than 100 European marine and freshwater species, and is centred around an ocean display with a walkthrough underwater tunnel. Merlin already operates another 17 Sea Life centres in eight countries, including four more in Germany and six in the UK, as well as the London, Edinburgh, York and Hamburg Dungeons.
