Christina Putman has been to hell and back, and on Monday she wanted to thank Lance Armstrong for accompanying her on the journey.
Putman was one of about 1,000 people who rallied outside the University of Colorado Cancer Center in Aurora, participating in the Bristol-Meyers Squibb Tour of Hope, a cancer-awareness-raising, cross-country bicycle trek. Armstrong, its poster boy and spiritual icon, is the only man - and cancer survivor - to win the Tour de France six times.
