Oct. 11--In 2001, as terrorists and a bust economy chewed away at employment in Clark County, members of the Columbia River Economic Development Council decided to ante up.
Team Clark County, a three-year special effort to aggressively recruit new employers here, was launched.
Using additional donated money, the development council went out looking for business at conferences and trade shows throughout the country.
