PowderMed Ltd (PowderMed), a company focusing on the development of therapeutic DNA vaccines has announced that it has initiated a Phase I trial in patients of a novel therapeutic DNA vaccine for the treatment of Herpes Simplex Type 2 (HSV2). This therapeutic vaccine uses PowderMed's proprietary Particle Mediated Epidermal Delivery (PMED(TM)) technology to deliver a DNA plasmid coding for four HSV2 antigens.
