FOR years Lesley Burns' husband John nagged her to lose weight, but it was her friends who eventually persuaded her it was time to slim down.
The mother-of-two had ignored John's pleas and steadfastly refused to go on a diet - despite the size 22 labels on her clothes.
The hairdresser, from Hamilton, said: 'I'd always been chubby and after having my two sons the weight had just piled on.
'But I was quite happy with my size - and the more my husband mentioned my weight the more I dug my heels in.
