If you grew up listening to the Police or watching MTV, the pairing of Sting and Annie Lennox has the makings of a sacred love fest.
The two 1980s rock icons, performing tonight at the White River Amphitheatre near Auburn, are touring together as part of Sting's "Sacred Love" tour, named for his current album.
Their collective hit songs are part of the soundtrack of two generations of rock fans, Gen Xers as well as baby boomers. Their individual careers as solo acts have long since eclipsed their respective careers with the Police (Sting) and Eurythmics (Lennox with Dave Stewart).
