COLUMBIA, Md. -- Data from 1589 Breast Cancer Patients Included in Largest Study of Partial Breast Irradiation
The American Society of Breast Surgeons today announced that it has completed enrollment of its MammoSite Patient Registry, a national data collection program designed to analyze the efficacy of accelerated partial breast irradiation with MammoSite. Cleared by the FDA in May 2002, MammoSite has since become the most widely-used form of partial breast irradiation for the treatment of breast cancer.
