ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Remarks Criticize Bush Administration's Performance on Science Issues
Former First Lady and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) addressed a capacity audience at the Optical Society of America's (OSA) annual meeting "Frontiers in Optics" (FiO) late last night.
The speech highlighted what Clinton called the Bush administration's "assault on science research and education," joking that the administration "has turned Washington into an evidence-free zone." In a more serious vein, she encouraged attendees to advocate for increased support of science research and education.
