Oct. 12--The price of natural gas has soared above $7 per thousand cubic feet over the past two weeks, but some Oklahoma industry experts say the cost should soon drop back down to more comfortable levels.
The amount consumers pay for natural gas over the winter, however, will largely be determined by the weather, they said.
"If it gets extremely cold, the price will jump, but if it's a normal or warmer-than normal winter, I think the price will have to come back down," said Tony Say, natural gas marketer and president of Oklahoma City-based Clearwater Enterprises Inc.
