Oct. 12--LAKELAND, Fla. -- International negotiators meeting this week in Brazil could change the global orange juice supply by as much as 6 percent with the stroke of a pen.
The change would affect the global trade in orange juice products. Closer to home, adoption of the standard advocated by U.S. negotiators could mean more money for Florida orange growers and juice processors.
At issue is the definition of reconstituted orange juice, the world's most popular juice product, at least to the extent of how much sugar it should contain.
