Although Gillette concentrate investments in the development of modern disposable razors like Mach3, the company still owns a 23% share in the Brazilian market with old products. The group reported a 12.2% share in the modern disposable razor market (Mach3 and SensorExcel) in Sep 2001-Aug 2002, decreasing to 10.2% in Sep 2003-Aug 2004. The Brazilian market moves 1bil units per year - US$350mil - and is among the main three markets with China and the US. Gillette owns an 80% market share.
