WITH 60% of the population officially overweight, LA Fitness, the last remaining major quoted healthclubs operator, is to launch a standalone weight loss centre.
The trial site will be alongside its gym in Bedford. However, it will be specifically targeted at the kind of people who are reluctant to join healthclubs but are concerned about their wellbeing. If the test proves popular, LA Fitness will roll the concept out across the UK.
