The 108-year-old Oswego County Historical Society has launched a fund-raising drive to compensate for the loss of aid from Oswego County taxpayers.
"Our future ability to act as the county's memory is in serious jeopardy," Bernie Henderson, president of the Oswego County Historical Society board of trustees, said in a news release. "It's our mission to preserve and present the evidence of Oswego County's past, and connect it with our present and our future. Our work literally involves making it possible to pass our heritage on to future generations."
