Pity the Boston Red Sox fans. Their team is again in the playoffs, again facing the New York Yankees and again bracing for the worst.
From Boston to Burlington, Vt., you can hear the nightmarish roll call: Aaron Boone. Bucky Dent. Bill Buckner.
And, of course, The Curse of the Bambino.
You don't believe in The Curse? Then you probably don't believe that there were witches in Salem, or that a leprechaun living under the Boston Garden's parquet floor was responsible for all those NBA championships the Celtics won.
