Swept Anaheim 3-0 in the division series, winning the final game 8-6 in 10 innings.
For starters
Game 1, RHP Curt Schilling: Thrives in postseason (6-1, 1.74 earned-run average). Issues few walks. Avoids big innings. Commands the strike zone and can touch 95-96 mph. Also throws sinking fastball, cutter, curveball and a devastating split-fingered pitch that seems to disappear.
Game 2, RHP Pedro Martinez: Good for about 100 pitches now. Can reach 94 mph with fastball but pitches at 89-91. Curveball and changeup still are great pitches. Spots fastball more.
