Oct. 15--Add another critic who wants to scrap the revamped meals-on-wheels program -- City Council Speaker Gifford Miller.
"My view is that it was a bad idea," Miller (D-Manhattan) said of the changes made in the program that serves 2,000 homebound seniors.
"It was a bad idea from the beginning and remains a bad idea, and we should go back to the way we handle meal deliveries for the rest of the city," he urged.
Miller's comments put him at odds with Councilwoman Maria Baez (D-Fordham, West Bronx), who heads the Council's Aging Committee and has been ...
