Oct. 16--SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. -- In a town that loves to party, the folks at the Swallows Inn are planning a blowout.
The funky little honky-tonk -- a beloved watering hole for an eclectic mix of cowboys, bikers, yuppies and even city officials -- is taking over downtown today for its 50th anniversary bash with music, dancing, classic cars, and, just maybe, a beer or two.
In a town rich with history -- the 228-year-old Mission San Juan Capistrano is just a block away -- the Swallows Inn more than holds its own.
